India’s largest IT services company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), announced Thursday that it has collaborated with the University of Tokyo Institute of Industrial Sciences (IIS, UTokyo) for technology research and the facilitation of people-to-people exchanges.

“The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) opens the prospect of TCS and IIS, UTokyo, working together on basic research, technology validation and real-world applications and commercialization, starting in the area of robotics.” , TCS said in a filing regulation.

The partnership also paves the way for an exchange of academics and researchers between the two organizations, he added.

“We… see it as one of our gateways to capitalize on the wealth of technological expertise that India’s top talent has to offer. I have a strong belief that IIS’s in-depth research in the many fields of engineering, when amplified by international industry-university collaboration with TCS and its ecosystem of partners, will make a significant contribution to society. .. ”IIS, General Manager of UTokyo, Toshiharu Kishi, mentioned.

K Ananth Krishnan, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at TCS, said in “Business 4.0”, building and operating an ecosystem of partners is of strategic importance to create and deliver the value.

“This is the basic idea behind our co-innovation network which brings advances in research and technology from academia to meet real customer needs,” he added.
